Raft Build is a great accompaniment to a team building day or as a standalone activity. The group must work together to design & construct a raft, paddle it around a set course and then return to dismantle it.
Raft building gets groups thinking & working together and helps develop cohesion whilst having great fun.
The Flat Pack Rafting Company:
Firstly the group must design a raft which will hold all members of the team, they will have to work out the buoyancy requirements using Archimedes Principle, design the raft on paper, buy parts to construct it and then build the actual raft.
Prior to embarking on their maiden voyage, the team will have to pitch their raft to the Flat Pack Raft company directors, explaining why they should by their product.
After the voyage the team will be questioned further regarding how successful the raft was and a decision will be made whether or not the vessel is a viable proposition.
This process will allow your team to develop presentation, teamwork, and decision making skills.
